It’s really, really late at night and I’ve been working on the site for a really, really long time. I hope there are no obvious typos. If there are, I’d be happy to know and please tell me. Thank you to everyone for the encouragement and good feeback! It’s great to have a place to do my thing. I could even quote En Vogue if I wanted. Seriously, though, thank you, especially the Tweeple (you know who you are) who have stayed around. Anyways, the metaphorical “wrap it up sign” is blinking, but first let me mention the changes.
There is a buy Kaitlin a coffee button now and it is a way to donate. I haven’t asked for money yet, and it’s not because I didn’t want to (who doesn’t?) but rather because I guess I haven’t thought there was a reason. Now I think I’ve put enough work into this site to ask, so I will and am. I’m still not going to place ads on the page. My logic for this is simple: online ads are crappy and annoying to me as a web user. I’d rather blog from the bathroom of United Way without a place to live or work to prove my point until ads become more internet-appropriate. However, I desperately hope the economy won’t get that bad before bloggers are paid accordingly.
I’ll give the advertisers a year or so. Until then, please keep me in java. I promise to buy fair trade.
